Terrific New Partnership with Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation Announced
We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between Monroe University and the Turn 2 Foundation, the non-profit founded by NY Yankees legend Derek Jeter, that will provide expanded educational opportunities for students in the organization's Jeter’s Leaders program -- and their families.
This collaboration includes the new Jeter’s Leaders Presidential Partnership Scholarship at Monroe, which will cover tuition and books for eligible students. Parents and guardians of the Jeter’s Leaders students are provided the same generous financial support to pursue their own undergraduate studies. Students who apply and are accepted will receive comprehensive support focused on academic readiness, mental well-being, and community-building. Our news release provides all the wonderful details.
To celebrate this exciting new initiative, we held a kick-off event on our New Rochelle campus earlier today, where we welcomed the Turn 2 Foundation staff, Jeter’s Leaders students, and their families. President Marc Jerome, along with Dorothy Toran and Jacob Huddleston, led the event.
This partnership builds on the success of Monroe University’s Presidential Partnership Program, which has been helping New York students pursue higher education -- in many cases with no student loan debt -- for more than a decade. Through this new collaboration, we are adding even more resources to support Jeter’s Leaders students in their academic journey and beyond.
As we celebrate the beginning of this exciting initiative, we look forward to the many opportunities it will create for Jeter’s Leaders, their families, and their communities.
