The University’s commitment to institutional renewal is the driving force behind the annual planning and improvement process. The cycle begins with assessment, continues with analysis and planning, followed by funding through the budget process. Execution of strategies is an ongoing endeavor, which leads to another round of assessment. The chart below explains the annual cycle in detail.
In 2023, the University launched the five-year Strategic Plan for 2023-2028 that has five overarching strategic goals:
GOAL 1. Enhance the University’s position as an educator of choice for the student populations we serve, including recent high school graduates, adult-learners, first-generation students, newly arriving immigrants, and international students.
GOAL 2. Develop and implement academic offerings to meet the evolving needs of today’s students and the employment landscape.
GOAL 3. Continuously improve institutional data gathering, reporting, and management to assess and improve the quality of the educational offerings, student life, and the employee experience.
GOAL 4. Continuously improve retention, student engagement, and graduate outcomes by school, program, and student population.
GOAL 5. Continuously improve the University’s fiscal position and organizational structure to allocate resources wisely and further invest in academic programs, talent acquisition, employee retention and satisfaction, student experiences, facilities, and infrastructure.
