Commencement Awards for Undergraduates Earning Latin Honors
Undergraduate students graduating with Latin Honors -- cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude -- are invited to join us for our annual Commencement Awards celebration.
KGS Hooding Ceremony
All graduate students are invited to join us that evening for the traditional Hooding Ceremony.
A hooding ceremony is a special event that honors graduates earning master’s degrees at Monroe. During the ceremony, a faculty member places an academic hood over the graduate’s head. This act symbolizes the completion of their studies, their entry into the professional community, and their dedication to a life of scholarship. The hood, part of academic regalia, represents the graduate’s institution, degree, and field of study.
