Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
As a certified nursing assistant, or CNA, you'll help patients with daily living activities plus their healthcare needs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). All CNAs must attend a state-approved education program. You will train during Monroe's CNA program to gain laboratory plus field experience. Our clinical labs will allow you to learn necessary role-specific skills, practice patient care techniques and develop medical knowledge as necessary. Upon successful completion of the program, you'll be eligible to sit for the certification examination.
Obtaining the New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification places candidates on a state registry, which legally allows them to work for local organizations as a CNA.
